Video of youngsters performing stunts on R-day goes viral, Nagpur Police swing into action
Nagpur: Coupe of days after a video of some youngsters performing dangerous stunts on newly inaugurated Wanjari Nagar Flyover went viral, Nagpur Police on Thursday identified the accused drivers and issued challans for rash driving under relevant Sections of Indian Motor Vehicle Act.
In the video which was filmed on Republic Day, a group of young drivers were seen performing dangerous stunts on Wanjari Flyover posing severe threat to each other. Soon after the video went viral, the Nagpur Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar swing into action.
The Nagpur Traffic Department led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sarang Aawad soon identified the vehicles through CCTVs and slapped them with challans.
The accused have been identified as Amansingh (20), a resident of Mankapur (Verna car MH-31-FA-8869), Amen Ansari (20), a resident of Mominpura (Honda City MH-31-EU-4292), Aniket Mahule (19), a resident of Zingabai Takli (Chevrolet Cruse MH-15-CM-3636), Sohel Khan (25), a resident of Mankapur (Creta MH-31-FR-1847).
