Tukaram Mundhe appointed as Maharashtra Human Rights Commission Secretary

Nagpur Today : Nagpur News

Nagpur: After the stormy tenure as Nagpur Municipal Commissioner, Tukaram Mundhe, an IAS officer of 2005 batch was appointed as Secretary of Maharashtra Human Rights Commission.

On August 26 in a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the state, Mundhe was transferred and was appointed as Member Secretary at Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran. The post of the Nagpur Municipal Commissioner was further held by 2008-batch IAS officer Radhakrishnan B.

A fortnight after his unceremonious transfer from NMC commissioner, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had cancelled the transfer order of IAS officer Mundhe and moved him from Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP) as its member secretary.

A notification issued by Maharashtra Government on late Wednesday has appointed Mundhe as Secretary of State Human Rights Commission.
