‘Muhurta’ of ‘Shegavicha Mahayogi’ took place in ‘Aapli Metro’
This innovative experiment of Muhurta in Aapli Metro was appreciated by attendees
Nagpur – It is said that Shri Gajanan Maharaj used to reach from one place with wind’s speed. ‘Aapli Metro’ also gave the same experience to the attendees on the occasion of the ‘Muhurta’ of the play ‘Shegavicha Mahayogi’ based on Shri Gajanan Maharaj. Shri Nataraja was worshiped at the hands of dignitaries in the running metro.
Produced by Radhika Creations and a courtesy of Ranjan Kala Mandir, Nagpur, the play ‘Shegavicha Mahayogi’ will be staged thrice during January 9th and 10th . Accordingly, the play ‘Muhurta’ was done at the hands of well-known chef Vishnu Manohar at the beginning of the new year in an innovative way in the running ‘Aapli Metro’ on Friday. On this occasion, social activists Ashish Lobo, Times of India’s Vilas Parate, Producers Aruna Purohit, Nilima Bawne, Dr. Ravi GirHey, Datta Fadnavis, Sarika Pendse, Shailja Pingale along with director Sanjay Pendse, and Dr. Jayant Welankar were present for this ceremony.
Vishnu Manohar appreciated the idea of convening ceremony in Aapli metro and extended his wishes for success of play. Jayant Welankar has compiled about one hundred and fifty experiences of devotees of Gajanan Maharaj and this play is based on one of those experiences. According to Sanjay Pendse, corona pandemic had delayed the play, but now the crew has mindset to stage 101 plays for audiences across India. The Foreword and vote of thanks were performed by Dr. Ravi GirHey.
Three consecutive play scheduled –
The play ‘Shegavicha Mahayogi’, produced by Radhika Creations and a courtesy of Ranjan Kala Mandir, Nagpur, will have three performances on January 9 and 10. The play on 9th January will be held at Suresh Bhat Hall, Reshimbagh at 5 pm and the two plays on 10th January will be held at Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, Civil Lines at 2 pm and 5 pm.
The play is written by Udayan Brahma and directed by Sanjay Pendse. Dr. Jayant Welankar is the guide. The play is produced by Aruna Purohit, Nilima Bawne, Dr. Ravi Girhe, Datta Fadnavis, Sarika Pendse and Shailja Pingale. Stage composition is done by Satish Pendse and the light arrangement is done by Kishore Battase. The music is created by Abhas Pendhari and the costumes are handled by Baba Khirekar.
Gajanan Maharaj is played by Anil Palkar. Seema Sayre, Datta Fadnavis, Meenakshi Bhave, Swapnil Jatkar, Dr. Ravi Girhey, Dr. Renuka Jambhorkar, Ritwika Tumbade, Prabodhini Chiplunkar are also part of the cast. Chetan Ahire, Kshitij Bhoge, Mangala Joshi, Raunak Palsapure and Shruti Suryavanshi are assisting in the production. Entries for the play will be available in the auditorium.
