Devotees throng religious places to mark New Year Day in Nagpur
Nagpur: On the first day of New Year 2021, Nagpuriana in large numbers visited temples, gurudwaras, mosques and other religious places to seek blessings amid the COVID-19 restrictions.
Devotees gathered at the Sai Mandir, Wardha road, Ganesh Tekdi Mandir and other religious places on the first day of the New Year 2021 to offer prayers. Covid guidelines for New Year celebrations have been announced by District Administration to check the spread of the deadly virus but many people were seen without masks on this occasion.
With New Year’s revelries, Nagpur Police were on their toes to make sure peaceful celebration with strict bandobast. The Nagpur City Police on Wednesday night launched two-days long special combing operation and have warned of strict action against those who will try to create nuisance on the night of December 31 amid threat of novel Corona Virus (Covid-19).
