Devyani Donge bags silver medal in online yoga competition

Devyani Donge, a student of Nagpur’s Sevadal Mahavidyalaya, bagged a silver medal in the Online Yoga Championship held recently.

Five Star Welfare and Sports Club, affiliated with Yoga Association of India organised the event in which around 1800 players participated.

Devyani excelled in the Under-25 category. The talented girl impressed with her flexibility and technique to clinch the second spot.

Earlier, Devyani achieved 15th place in the First International Yoga Olympics Games held in September. Amongst Indian players, she finished ninth. The International Yoga Federation and International Yoga Olympic Committee jointly organised the event.

Director of Department of Sports and Physical Education of RTM Nagpur University Dr Sharad Suryavanshi, principal of Sewadal Mahavidyalaya Dr Pravin Charde, Dr Sharad Babde, Sona Kiran of NCC Golden Group, Sanjay Choudhary, Aditya Sone, Archana Kottewar and others have congratulated Devyani for achieving creditable success.
