House burgled in Kapil Nagar, booty worth Rs 1.73 lakh looted
Nagpur: Gold ornaments and cash collectivelly worth Rs 1.73 lakh were stolen from a house in Kapil Nagar area.
According to police, Dushyant Dhajendranath Rai (31), a resident of Plot No 152, Govindgadh, Uppalwadi, had gone to Sadar area on Tuesday at 12 noon.
Grabbing the opportunity, the thief entered the house after breaking open latch of the front door and walked away with gold ornaments and Rs 15,000 cash kept in almirah. The theft came to light at 7.50 pm when Rai returned home.
An offence under Sections 454, 457 and 380 of Indian Penal Code was registered by Kapil Nagar Police.
