20 police personnel to guard NMC’ demolition squad
Nagpur: To contain the nuisance caused by the encroachers during the Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s (NMC), anti-encroachment drive, the Nagpur Police will cooperate fully and also provide 20 police personnel during the encroachment drive.
Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari has discussed the issue with Nagpur Police Commissioner, Amitesh Kumar to provide police personnel during the encroachment drive.
It is pertinent to mention that the NMC is taking stern action against encroachers in the city. The sum of 560 encroachment were razed by the NMC and total 8 trucks of materials were also confiscated during the same along with ₹29,500 fine.
