Caretaker decamps with booty of Rs 1.33 lakh
Nagpur: A caretaker of a house turned thief and decamped with gold ornaments and cash collectivelly worth Rs 1.33 lakh in Gittikhadan Police Station area.
Virendra Pratap Singh (68), had appointed one Bhavesh Suresh Dubey (23), a resident of Plot No. 5/11, Farukhabad (East), Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, as caretaker.
When Virendra Singh had gone to the place of his relative Rohit Ravindra Singh (22), at Plot No. 67, Netaji Society, Friends colony, for vacation, the caretaker allegedly decamped with gold ornaments and Rs 8,000/- in cash. The theft took place between Friday and Saturday, police said.
An offence under Section 381 of Indian Penal Code was registered by Gittikhadan police. Further investigation is on.
