Deepak Chavan becomes 6th International Arbiter in Chess from Nagpur

The Chess arena of the city feels proud that Mr. Deepak Chavan, in 2nd FIDE Online Council Meeting 2020, received the title of International Arbiter and he becomes the 6th from the city of Nagpur. It is worth mentioning that Mr. Deepak Chavan successfully cleared the FIDE Arbiter exam in November 2016 and got the FIDE Arbiter Title in Presidential Board by written resolution in 2017.

He has executed the duty as an Arbiter in many National and International chess championships  in different parts of India. To receive the title of International Arbiter, one requires to complete 4 Norms in the International Chess Tournament and he has successfully completed all those norms in the World Youth Chess Championship at Mumbai, Udaipur Grandmaster Chess Tournament & National Team Chess Championship at Ahmedbad, Gujrat.

Mr. Deepak Chavan gives credit of his success  to Members of Nagpur District Chess Association, Nagpur, All Marathi Chess Association. He is also expressed his thanks to  Mr. Swapnil Bansod, International Arbiter for his technical guidance & Mr. Sagar Ingle, DYEE CHPEM500MW Khaperkheda TPS. He is currently working as a Assistant Engineer in CHPEM500MW, Khaperkheda Thermal Power Station of MAHAGENCO (MSPGCL).
